Our Values

Foggy Forest Scene

Integrity

Our therapists have done and continue to do their own work and “practice what they preach.” They are honest and genuine.

Foggy Forest Scene

Welcoming To All

Compassionate care for all cultural, religious, ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, and political
backgrounds, and people of any age, size, ability, identity, or sexual orientation.

Foggy Forest Scene

Accessible, Affordable Care

Mental health therapy should not be kept behind gates. We offer a sliding scale and take
most major insurance providers to minimize financial burden and stress.

Collaboration

Psychotherapy clients are the experts of themselves and possess a deep inner knowing, but may need a little guidance from a therapist to access it more fully.

Why choose White Oak?

We offer compassionate, intuitive psychotherapy that goes beneath symptoms to uncover their roots. In a warm, nonjudgmental space, our therapists listen closely to your story, use clinical training and lived experience to notice patterns others may miss, and gently guide you toward understanding, healing, and lasting change. Our work is trauma-informed: we move at a pace that feels safe, we help you build skills for managing overwhelm, and explore core wounds so you can reclaim clarity, connection, and choice.

You can expect your therapist to....

  • Explore the inner workings of you with openness, kindness, and non-judgement

  • Help you identify negative beliefs about yourself and the roots of those beliefs

  • Create an inviting and loving space where you are free to just be you

  • Help you understand emotional and behavioral patterns

  • Invite your feedback about the therapeutic process

EMDR is especially helpful for:

  • PTSD and traumatic memories

  • Negative self-beliefs ("I'm not enough," "I'm unsafe")

  • Anxiety, panic, and chronic stress

  • Disturbing images or body sensations

IFS can be especially helpful if:

  • You feel like you're constantly at war with yourself

  • You struggle with shame, people-pleasing, or emotional overwhelm

  • You're healing from complex trauma or attachment wounds

  • You've tried lots of talk therapy and feel like you've hit a wall

Somatic and Intuitive Therapy is perfect if:

  • You feel disconnected or numb in your body

  • You’ve “talked through it” in therapy before but still feel stuck

  • You want a spiritual or intuitive lens to your healing

  • You’re longing to feel more alive, grounded, and whole

Types of Therapy

Are you struggling with any of these?

Getting Started in 4 Basic Steps

  1. Initial consultation: Brief phone/online consult to identify needs and determine clinician fit.

  2. Schedule and meet for an initial intake session, which includes a diagnostic assessment.

  3. Individualized treatment plan: Evidence-based approaches tailored to your goals.

  4. Regular sessions: Weekly or biweekly therapy with measurable goals and progress reviews.
